At Alpenshade, we know parenting can be a wild ride—especially when you’re out and about with your little sidekick. That’s why we’re all about creating UPF apparel for babies that makes sun protection not just easy but actually fun! And, we're just getting started. Our Why

Babies and toddlers are the most vulnerable to sunburns, yet there are no adequate solutions to fully protect their delicate skin. Childhood sun exposure—especially burns—has a significant impact on a person’s lifetime risk of developing melanoma. Most cumulative lifetime sun exposure also happens in childhood. We wanted to create a reliable, effective and easy sun protection option for little ones who need it most.

Our Solution

Our dermatologist-designed products provide high-quality, quick, and easy sun protection for newborns, infants, and toddlers. Families can confidently enjoy outdoor adventures knowing their littles are shielded all day from harmful UV rays in our playful, colorful sunsuits. The sun suit is great! I loved knowing that our son was fully protected from the harsh summer sun!

This is a great suit! The material is quite soft but still seems pretty durable. Our baby likes wearing it. The only change I would make it to have the hood be slightly more fitted, since it sometimes falls off my baby's head.

We love our alpenshade sunsuit! We put it on our baby as soon as we head out into the sun, and leave it on all day. She's super comfy, and it takes the pressure off worrying about sunscreen on her body, arms, and legs.

Obsessed with our sunsuit! It's the perfect outfit for warm sunny days in the mountains in Colorado and it offers full protection from sun exposure at higher elevations. It's so nice to not have to think about how we're going to manage that when we're getting outside. Our daughter hates wearing hats but seems comfortable with the hood which is a big bonus and a huge relief!
